Star Trek 4 Is Back On Track With Fargo TV Series Ties??
After months of silence on the Star Trek movie front, there is finally some official news from Paramount on the next installation of the Reboot Star Trek Movie series. Star Trek 4 has a new writer/director. Noah Hawley, most commonly known for creating FX’s Legion and Fargo TV series, is in final talks to write and direct Star Trek 4.
The details of the new movie are of course not being discussed, but reports are saying that Chris Pine will be back as Captain Kirk on board the Enterprise, along with Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban.
There are three scripts still in contention for the fourth Trek film, one of which was a story that reunited Jim Kirk's Dad, George (Played by Chris Hemsworth) with his son. However, talks broke down awhile back with the now very popular Hemsworth to reprise the role of George Kirk and there has been no new talk of negotiations with Hemsworth to date
Another possible script/movie still being considered is the one that Quentin Tarantino has pitched that will likely be rated R. That movie is still in the planning stages too and even though it could be the story for the next film, nothing has been officially announced. Which movie will be made first is anyone's guess as no release date for either movie has been announced.
An interesting side note...Now that Viacom (The parent company of Paramount) and CBS have officially joined forces again, could we see a crossover movie of some kind with any of the past, upcoming or currently running TV shows?? That would really make things interesting in the Star Trek Universe!!

Just found your site. Love Star Trek movies. Anyway, just asking, has anyone seen the “subliminal” one second Star Trek Icon posting at the end of commercials on CBS? First it was just their communication pin; now it’s the pin and a man walking across a wide open field. Any thoughts? Promotion maybe? Or am I just seeing things … LOL
